Anyone from 8 to 80 and who have a reasonable level of fitness can
learn Aikido. Although at Southport Muto Aikido Club we are unable to
accept anyone under 14.
A: No. As long as you can get to the dojo under your own steam you will be able to train.
A: Your fitness levels will improve with every session you do.

To start off tracksuit trousers and a Tee shirt are all you need to
have. After a few lessons you will be expected to wear a white judo or
karate suit (gi).
A:
No, not to start with. The club has a limited amount of spare
equipment, however you will probably wish to supply your own jo (wooden
stave) and bokken (wooden practice sword).

There are no martial arts equipment stockists in Southport. The sports
shops may have your size of jodo or karate suit in stock but now-a-days
the best way to obtain equipment is on the internet. Look on the
Links page for suggested sites use the search bar at the top of this page.
